American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) Functional GI Disorders School

The ACG / VGS / ODSGNA Regional Postgraduate Course – September 7-8. Course will feature presentations on upper GI disorders, pancreas/biliary issues, hepatology, lower GI/functional disorders, IBD, lower GI (symptomatic uncomplicated diverticular disease
(SUDD) and segmental colitis associated with diverticular disease (SCAD)), microbiome, innovations in endoscopy, colorectal cancer screening, colorectal resection, legislative issues, and a special symposium on obesity.
Keynote lecture: “Addressing the Epidemic of Burnout in Gastroenterology,” will provide valuable pearls for recognition of predictors, description of steps that can be taken to mitigate burnout, and identification of the ways to facilitate work-life balance.
Special nursing-sponsored session on Infection Prevention, Fellows’ case presentations illustrating difficult GI management issues – September 7.
The interactive Functional GI Disorders School (February 6) is focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and understanding of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other functional GI disorders and was developed for gastroenterologists, gastroenterology trainees, primary care physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, pharmacists.
