Abdominal Ultrasound (3 Day) November
November 4, 2019 - November 6, 2019
The focus of this three day course is to provide participants with the confidence necessary to complete an abdominal ultrasound based on AIUM protocols. The course covers the basic protocols involved in an examination and general use of the ultrasound system. Normal anatomy and pathological variants of the liver, biliary system, kidneys, spleen, abdominal vessels, pancreas, appendix, scrotum, and also thyroid will be reviewed and discussed. Also included are soft tissue applications and abdominal Doppler using Color and Pulsed Wave Doppler. The participants will gain experience through lecture and faculty supervised hands-on scanning.
