The purpose of this activity is to give participants an update in the diagnostic and therapeutic developments in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology.

At the completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Explain new recommendations in the prevention and treatment of peptic ulcer disease and its complications
• Provide appropriate preventive care of common medical problems in patients with chronic gastrointestinal diseases
• Diagnose and manage chronic and recurring diarrhea
