Big Gut Seminars: Focus on Complex Liver Disease
November 22, 2019
Liver disease, including conditions such as hepatitis, metabolic liver disease, autoimmune, cholestatic, and genetic liver disease, cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma, require a multidisciplinary, integrated, highly specialized approach to care. This course is centered on risk factors, diagnosis, and medical and surgical treatment of complex liver disease, targeted to a multidisciplinary audience of hepatologists, transplant hepatologists, gastroenterologists, endoscopists, thoracic surgeons, transplant surgeons, interventional radiologists, medical oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and others involved in the care of patients with liver disease. This conference will feature a multidisciplinary faculty of national leaders and an interactive format including a lightning round of short didactic presentations, controversies and “gray zones” in care, and panel discussion of challenging, complex patient cases.
